BANGLADESH MARKET ENTRY · LOCAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Build in Bangladesh with a local hand at your side.

From Dhaka, ANNEX supports European and international companies exploring a Bangladesh presence. We help turn a market thesis into local research, partner conversations, workforce planning, and an operating plan—while you keep ownership and final authority. Whether you are considering a foreign-owned operation or a joint venture, confirm the right locally incorporated structure with qualified advisers and the relevant authorities.

02 / LOCAL CAPABILITY

Your right-hand team for the work around the investment.

ANNEX is a Dhaka-based business development and digital studio. We can help you shape and coordinate the local work, then build a practical operating rhythm around the plan you approve.

D / OPERATIONS

Launch coordination & digital foundations

Coordinate a launch plan across local workstreams and establish the web, lead, reporting, and communications systems your team needs.

Milestones · digital setup · operational handover

Workforce availability, partner fit, and delivery scope depend on role, location, timing, and due diligence. ANNEX agrees the scope before starting and does not guarantee hiring outcomes or third-party performance.

03 / PUBLIC PATHWAYS

Know which door is official.

Invest Bangladesh is the government’s investment promotion and facilitation agency, established in 2026 by bringing together the former BIDA, BEZA, and Public-Private Partnership Authority. Its published services include support for foreign and joint-venture projects, commercial offices, investor services, and sector opportunities. BanglaBiz is the official digital gateway for business licences and permits.

ANNEX can help organize questions, prepare a project pathway, and coordinate next steps with the relevant official channels. We are an independent private business—not a government authority, law firm, tax adviser, or licensing agent.

04 / YOUR CONTROL

Local execution. Investor-led authority.

Working with a local partner should make execution easier to see and direct. Agree the boundaries early, keep the important accounts in your company’s name, and make every decision traceable.

06 / QUESTIONS

Before you explore Bangladesh.

Make the first discussion useful. Keep confidential commercial information for a later conversation under an agreed process.

What does ANNEX do for a foreign investor?

We scope local research, business development, partner and supplier discovery, workforce coordination, launch planning, and operational reporting. The engagement is limited to the responsibilities agreed in writing.

Can a foreign company set up a local entity, and does ANNEX guarantee approvals or incentives?

No. The right ownership structure and required permissions depend on your business activity and current rules. Invest Bangladesh and qualified legal and tax advisers should confirm the pathway. Incentives and approvals are decided by the relevant authorities and are never guaranteed by ANNEX.

How do I keep control of the local operation?

Set approval limits, budgets, account ownership, reporting, and signing authority in the engagement and company documents. You approve commitments; ANNEX coordinates only within that scope.

Which sectors can I explore?

Published opportunity areas include textiles and apparel, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals and APIs, medical devices, light engineering, IT and IT-enabled services, logistics, and renewable energy. Your plan needs sector-specific market, regulatory, and financial due diligence.

What should I share in the first inquiry?

A broad description of your sector, the kind of presence you are considering, your target timing, and the local help you need is enough. Please do not send trade secrets, financial account details, or sensitive documents through the initial form.
